Deadline….what deadline?

As we now roll into February and everyone gives out a big sigh of relief, the longest payday month is over and we can spend again; the sadness that Christmas has really been and gone is a distant memory and for us accountants all your self-assessment tax returns are all filed on time.

Here at J Sweeney Accountants we have filed tax returns for this year showing a staggering 60% increase on last year. All tax returns were completed before 5pm on 31st; through lots of planning, tracking and checking we were able to maintain the level of service our clients deserve whilst saving some tax along the way.

What’s next?

You’d be forgiven for thinking its feet up time now for us. But that’s not the case. In addition to our outsourced finance directorships, budget planning and forecasting, we are tax planning for our clients before the tax year ends on 5th April 2019.

Our tax planning can help use your personal allowances more effectively, reduce liabilities payable and, most importantly, plan for your future.

  • If you are self-employed and are thinking of a mortgage in the next 12 months, you need to start planning now. Being associated to an IFA means we can help advise on mortgage options, provide all professional certification of income and get your application submitted to lenders with ease.
  • If you have a limited company and are planning on growing using funding, you will need to plan for this growth. We love forecasting and building financial models that have proven to help our clients generate cash funding.
  • Perhaps you were thinking of using some of your income for pension purposes. Why not let our associates help with that? Don’t forget pension contributions could reduce your tax liabilities.

We like to get to know our clients that means we can advise in the most commercial way possible, this year we have helped businesses grow while growing ourselves we can’t wait to help more in 2019. If we can help you with tax planning or other services, please do not hesitate to call on 01604 950064 or drop us a mail and we will happily get back to you [email protected].
